George joined the Forge at its inception in 2014. Most recently he Executive Produced Jack Thorne’s six part series Falling starring Keeley Hawes and Paapa Essiedu which is due to air on Channel 4 in 2026, and he previously executive produced Jack Thorne’s critically acclaimed trilogy of four-parters for Channel 4 and Hulu: National Treasure (which won both the BAFTA and RTS best miniseries awards), Kiri (which achieved the highest drama ratings on Channel 4 since modern records began) and The Accident. Other shows for the Forge as Executive Producer include Shardlake, adapted by Stephen Butchard from the CJ Sansom novels for Disney+, Becoming Elizabeth, an eight hour original for Starz by Anya Reiss, and Just Act Normal, by Janice Okoh, for BBC Three, as well as all five series of Ackley Bridge for Channel 4. In 2026 he is filming a new six part series for BBC1 which is yet to be announced. Before joining The Forge in 2014, George was an Executive Producer at the BBC where he developed a raft of projects including the 2016 adaptation of War and Peace for BBC One. He produced Sarah Phelps’ BAFTA and EMMY winning adaptation of Great Expectations, Sandy Welch’s adaptation of Emma, two series of Silent Witness, and started his TV career on EastEnders.
