George Ormond

Executive Producer

Before joining The Forge, George was an executive producer at the BBC, where he developed a raft of projects, including the 2016 adaptation of War and Peace for BBC1. He produced Sarah Phelps’ BAFTA and EMMY winning adaptation of Great Expectations, Sandy Welch’s adaptation of Emma, two series of Silent Witness, and EastEnders. George executive produced The Forge’s inaugural production, National Treasure for Channel 4, written by award-winning writer Jack Thorne, as well as the recent Jack Thorne mini-series, Kiri. Also for Channel 4 George executive produced Ackley Bridge, the third series of which aired in 2019. Most recently, George Executive Produced The Accident, the third in Jack Thorne’s trilogy of timely dramas for Channel 4 and is in production with Becoming Elizabeth, an 8-part original series for Starz by writer Anya Reiss.
